Lunar New Year Parades in Chinatown
Tuesday, January 28th and Sunday, February 2nd
Philly's Chinatown community will be holding 2 Lunar New Year Parades, led by The Philadelphia Suns. On Tuesday, January 28th, a late-night Lunar New Year's Eve Celebration begins at 10:00 PM from 10th and Spring Streets. On Sunday, February 2nd, a daytime parade follows the same route at 11:00 AM. The parade includes music, lion dancing, drumming, and fireworks!
The Philadelphia Suns will also be holding Lion Dances throughout the month at various locations through out the city!

Lunar New Year at The Rail Park
Saturday, February 1st, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Join Friends of the Rail Park for the annual Lunar New Year celebration as we welcome the Year of the Wood Snake! The festival will feature exciting performances by returning partners: Philadelphia Suns, Ballet SunMi, Crane Center Tai-Chi Team, Friends Senior Care Center Performance Team, and DJ Kevin Kong.
PopUp Play, Philly House, and Bethesda Project will also offer family-friendly activities and resources throughout the event.
What’s New This Year?
A second lion dance performance by the Penn Lions, a traditional Lunar New Year flower market, presented in partnership with the Philadelphia Asian American Pacific Islander Design Alliance, and the return of the highly anticipated and delicious Bao Bar!

Pop into the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin for a festive Lunar New Year Celebration for menu items from Ellen Yin's Wonton Project. Outside on the plaza, there will be a calligraphy activity, free children's crafts, and a red envelope giveaway for the first 100 guests. Make sure to see performances from traditional Chinese dancers, opera singers, and a lion dance by the Philadelphia Suns.
