Tildie’s Toy Box is a fun, inviting and whimsical toy shop located on Passyunk Ave. We recently visited to get the low down from the owner Michelle on the best ways to keep kids busy at home during these cold winter months!
Tildie’s has been open for a little over a year now. Tildie’s carries a great assortment of gender neutral and local maker toys and activities. From craft kits to science kits, wooden toys, scooters, musical instruments, bath bombs and baby toys, you and your little ones will certainly find a unique treat or two!
In addition, Tildie’s stocks an impressive book selection. We loved that Tildie’s chose some local authors such as Greg Pizzoli, as well as a selection of female empowerment stories and culturally diversified options. There's a cozy nook to curl up and choose your next bedtime story.

Tildies offers a “birthday bin” where you and your child can stop in and choose items that they would like to receive for their big day. Tildie’s will set those items aside in a bin labeled with your name. You let your friends/family members know about the bin. Speaking of birthdays, I feel as though I’m attending a party at least once a week. I don’t have time to shop, let alone think about what to purchase! No worries, all you have to do is call up Tildie's, give them a price point and age range and they give you a wrapped gift. Purchase over the phone and pick up curbside!! Parents, it just doesn’t get any better than this!
